Shi Yanlu, born Lin Qinghua, comes from a family deeply rooted in martial arts. From a young age, he was immersed in martial arts. He was born in 1970 in Tancheng County, Linyi, Shandong Province. His family had high hopes that he would attend the prestigious Tsinghua University, hence the name "Qinghua." However, destiny led him to the Shaolin Temple, where he became a disciple of Abbot Shi Yongxin and took the name Shi Yanlu. He humorously likens the Shaolin Temple to "the Tsinghua University of Buddhism," a place where he not only found spiritual fulfillment but also honed his martial arts skills.

During this cultural exchange, Shi Yanlu demonstrated the essence of Shaolin martial arts, showcasing techniques ranging from hand and leg forms to weaponry and internal energy cultivation. Each move embodied rich cultural heritage and extraordinary skill. Wang Yugen and his wife expressed deep admiration for the mastery and depth of Shaolin martial arts and highly praised Shi Yanlu's accomplishments.

As one of the "Four Diamond Warriors" of the Shaolin Temple, Shi Yanlu is not only a martial arts expert but also a key figure in promoting Shaolin martial arts globally. His Shaolin Monks Troupe has toured various countries, contributing greatly to spreading Chinese culture and martial arts spirit worldwide.

Notably, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s daughter once studied Shaolin martial arts under Shi Yanlu, underscoring his influence in the martial arts world.

After the exchange, Wang Yugen and his wife stated that their visit to Yanlu Martial Arts School was deeply inspiring. The fusion of martial arts and art not only demonstrated the vastness of Chinese culture but also built new bridges for international cultural exchange. They look forward to more opportunities for deeper cooperation with Shi Yanlu and the Yanlu Martial Arts School to jointly promote Chinese culture on the global stage.

This successful cultural exchange not only strengthened the friendship between the World Artists Association and the Shaolin Temple but also injected new vitality into the preservation and development of Chinese culture. The blend of Shi Yanlu’s martial spirit and artistic passion is sure to win broader recognition for Chinese culture on the world stage.

Recently, Wang Yugen, president of the World Artists Association, and his wife visited the Yanlu Martial Arts School for a unique cultural exchange with Shi Yanlu, the head instructor of the Shaolin monks. This exchange showcased not only the profoundness of Chinese martial arts but also the deep integration of cultural arts with martial spirit.
